Pretty common question I think but I have migarated North (Cheshire) from down south. All of my boat angling was uptiding in light to medium strength tides races, relatively shallow depths. Obviously all of my tackle has been geared to this method and conditions. Now I am intending to try my hand at the North Wales and North West ports after a few years onshore. Does anybody have any advice on if I will need to change tackle drasticly and the type of conditions that I will have to expect to gear up for. My shore armoury took a bit of modification but thankfully not at great expense, I am not sure if I can get away with the same amount of modification to my boat tackle and tactics.
