I'm a relative new "returner" to the noble art, and in the intervening period, the term breaking strain seems to have been overtaken by line diameter.
I don't have any problem with breaking strain, but I cannot understand how to relate a line's diameter to the type of fishing I want to do.
With so many new types of line and even choices of colours, it just gets more & more confusing. I have always liked Maxima Chameleon but I am prepared to try new stuff especially if it does the job better.
Can anyone please give me a bit of a teach in.
