I've recently been successfully tying my own hair rig hooklengths for carp ledger rigs and like the versatility and choice it gives me i.e. hook type, hair length, hooklink length and material etc.

I would also like to tie my own hair rig hooklengths to use for feeder and waggler fishing on mixed stock waters using eyed hooks of sizes 16, 14 and 12 using between 4lb and 6lb line. However, I can't seem to find hooks of this size with big enough eyes for me to use the knotless knot.

Can anyone suggest a make and particular type of eyed hook for my purpose and also a suitable hooklength material?

I would have thought Drennan super specialists might do the job. Having said that the diameter of lines available should make this an easy task, use some drennan double strength or a reduced diameter high breaking strain line. You could cheat and use the ready mades by Korum they do eyed hooks with a hair attached you just tie em to the main line (expensive tho) lol! Good luck.

you can tie a knotless with 6lb line on a 14 superspecialist, i've done it.
