I have the opportunity to fish an irrigation resevoir that has not been fished for years. Apparently it shelves from the sides and is up to 10 metres deep past the shelf. I am told bream and tench have been seen when it is sunny.
As I normally barbel fish on the Trent I am not sure what approach to take, am thinking starting with say 6/7 lb line on groundbait feeder with maggot or worm and scale up or down dependant on what happens but I am welcome to any suggestions. Not sure if there are any carp but you never know.
any advise greatly appreciated.
