Lanmore (Lancaster and Morecambe) Fishing Club went to Highfield fisheries near Hambleton on Saturday, and fished their second League match of the season on Ash lake.

Although the weather was quite miserable, it was a good turnout, it was drizzling most of the day, but managed to stay quite warm.
The best methods that worked on this day were, fishing the pole at 13 meters, using paste as bait, and feeding pellets bought from Highfield.

results
1st Gary Hill 17lb 4oz (carp, barbel)
2nd John Hampson 14lb 4oz (carp)
3rd Gary Gilbert 7lb 4oz (carp)

Many thanks to George (fishery manager) for having everything sorted out for us on arrival, and for his great hospitality.

Next match will be at Thursland Hill near Cockerham Sands, on Saturday the 7th of May

Lanmore Fishing Club went to Thursland Hill Fishery near Cockerham Sands on Saturday for there 3rd League match of the season.

The weather was terrible although sunny the wind was horrific blowing right across the lake, making it hard work to fish certain methods

The best methods on the day were fishing in the margins using cat meat as bait, and fishing the method feeder close up to the far bank, using sweetcorn, and maggots as bait.

Well done to Kev Coulton who smashed the individual club record by weighing in 49lb 8oz of carp

results
1st Kevin Coulton 49lb 8oz of carp (club record)
2nd Gary Hill 11lb 1oz of carp

Lanmore Fishing Club went to the Villa's near Carnforth on Saturday 14th of May, for there second match in the Victory Shield Competition.

The weather was scorching on this day, with no wind at all, and no clouds, but we can't have it all our own way as the fishing was not as good as the weather.
The best methods on the day were the splasher waggler across to the far bank, using pellets as bait, and catmeat in the margins, and paste on the pole

Results
1st John Hampson 17lb 13oz
2nd Gary Gilbert 11lb 6oz
3rd Gary Hill 10lb 8oz

Many thanks to the Villa's for there hospitality.
The next two matches will be Wednesday 18th of May which will be the Midweek League on the Canal at Bolton-le-sands, and Sunday 22nd of May which will be the Victory Shield at Hambleton Fisheries at Hambleton
