E.S.P.High Performance Line.

I'm looking for a good all round line.
Has anybody any comments on the above,or advice on which line to choose.Being fairly new to carp fishing and not having to buy line of more than 6lb b.s. I need a little push in the right direction. I have been using Maxima Chameleon 8lb. but am not to impressed with it,too stretchy and coils off the spool occasionanly.

No problems with the esp although i have just changed to gardner gt80 and that is very good.

Lots of us on here swear by Krystonite Flourocarbon coated monofilament. If your going for bigger carp now, get the 10lb at least.

At first ESP was underated and as such had a fat diameter for it's strength. It may have been regraded now because it suddenly seems to be thinner. Daiwa Sensor is a favourite if you're looking for a budget line.

The problem when you said,"coils off the spool occasionanly."is this when the line is new and not bedded in yet?
