Monk Lakes

I am going to enter a match at Monk Lakes,Kent as a guest on a corporate day out in July. I do not fish matches as a rule, but was wondering if anyone would be willing to divulge any hints and tips about this venue.

I see that the match lakes are stocked with Carp, Barbel, Tench, Chub, Bream and Roach.

Personally speaking I won't fish any lake stocked with Barbel.
This is simply my personal preference as I won't support commercial stillwater venues with Barbel in them.

I would imagine though that all of the modern pole & pellet approaches would be okay.
