Shimano 13ft match rod at sea ??

hi guys

i have a brand new 13ft shimano match rod but im having no luck selling it so was thinking of getting a sea reel and sea line as i might use on the beaches or on a boat etc

question is is the rod good enough for this or am i wasting my time

Hi mate I always use a match rod for sea fishing but thats for float fishing or spinning, i wouldnt use it for beachwork as it will be like casting a brick with a tooth pick ,
