Hi,
Hope some body can help with this-does any body know if the bends on the stretches of the trent at Winthorpe or Collingham fish better than the straighter stretches.
Been there recently and blanked on the Barble front.

Wouldn't suspect it makes a lot of difference but as a general rule downstream of a bend is better but Trent especially at Collingham is always "peggy"
Really it depends on what the water level/flow/bottom conditions are. You need to look at the flow coming off the bend and judge wherabouts the deepest flowing water is to be found after the bend.

Always fish peg with the rocks at your feet they are deep close in and dont fish too far out.

Thats a good point generally the deepest water is on the side with rocks.
