Tainted hookbaits

I always worry about using Anti-Mosquito stuff as it might get on the hookbait, but usually end up with incredibly swollen and sore hands by the end of a nights fishing.
Has anyone used this brand?
Does it work and how likely is it to taint the bait?
Most brands i have used (that work) are incredibly strong and everything stinks of them.

I've started wearing those loose, lightweight tropical type long sleeved shirts, buttoned at the wrist and neck and on my hands I wear neoprene fingerless gloves. This has greatly reduced the hand and arm bites I used to get, without the smell and greasiness of any repellent.

Was considering getting some of those fingerless gloves for fly fishing in the tropics as a possibility.
My hands are still giving me hell from bites I got at the weekend really cannot face another summer of 'fat kid hands' as my girlfiend calls them.
