Nice tip on the use of PVA bags. Started last season at just having a few sessions on targeting the carp and using pva bags. Never thought to tidy up the corners and to have the hook on the outside of the bag.
i only tend to use the hook outside the bag when using helicopter rigs with stiff hooklinks - i dont want to chance the pva knot knotting the hooklength to the leadcore.
Ah now this ones grabbed my attention, very rare will you catch me using a bag with the hook inside, with a stringer needle simply pull your rig up through the center of your filled bag and the hook naturally sits in the bottom of bag (outside).
Not sure wether this is allowed but if you click the 4th banner up on the right (Mo's-Co) go to the hints and tips page you will see pictures of said method.

Thanks for the article Frothey, interesting stuff. I've started using more pva these days (mainly mesh) and my first order will be going in to Mo next week, great prices, is that where you get your bags etc from?
