The Best Bait???

I have just started fishing again after about 7 years i was only about 15 last time so i need some help if poss!!I have been 3 times in the last couple of weeks and although i have had a few bites there hasnt been much action. I was wondering what the best type of bait would be to catch carp, roach, perch, tench, or rudd.

you could do far worst than use bread and worm

Oh yes, bread, worm and maggotts are the classics but fish can be fickle and having a few changes up your sleeve can be beneficial. Corn and peperami, worth keeping in your bait box too.

Phil ,Read a few mags and go through a few threads on F/M , make your own mind up ,there is no easy answer .
Learn and enjoy .

check whats going best on your local water, ask the locals, act really thick and peg up really close to someone who is catching,
