Landing nets

Hi

Can anybody tell me how to determine the size of a landing net. For example is a 26ins net measured by the length, width or circumferance?

Hi paul,

My understanding is that the size quoted will be the Diameter across the net on round shaped offerings, and the width on triangler nets.

And don't forget that a round or slightly pear shaped net is the most efficient for landing big fish.

I think you'll find with spoon shaped nets the size applies to the length of the frame, not the width.
