Excellent article Malc, love your thought provoking paragraphs re fresh and shelf-life baits. Its amazing how those of us that fish France on a more frequent basis take all the tips and tricks that you cover in this series for granted.

The FM likely lads are off to France in September and you've got me thinking it all through again now.....

bring it on!

10 weeks, 4 days, 10 hours.

most of the bait is already sorted, several sacks of bits and pieces to be added just before we leave.......

the FM contingent are going to Goncourt, a Horton managed water.

Good fishing, not monsters, but a very 'social' aspect to it all.

Nice article Malc still taking the kitchen sink I see ;-)

Were the FM boys on Groncourt in may? 'cos I watched a 4x4 and white transit drive past and I'm sure I saw some ginger side burns

lol, nice one Rob.

Wols has taken to sticking shredded wheat on his cheeks to emphasise the ginger sidies.

but, sadly, it weren't us.

White Transit, cheeky git, bloody silver Merc, it cost me enough....
