If you buy your AT this week, make sure it comes with the free Clamshell Tackle box.

This is a brilliant bit of kit which is perfect for holding swivels, floatstops, beads and other bitsh and pieces. It even make a half decent dry fly box.

I was rather upset however when I saw the mess that was made of the nespaper rack of my local Asda. Dozens of ATs lay there and the clamshell boxes had been nicked.

Ed will be advertising the specialist Bibby Clamshell boxes on special offer - only 5 quid each.

Do you get any free hubcaps with them?

To come back on thread though, I've got two of these and use them for dry flies and they are good. One of the lids has snapped off one of the compartments though so not as robust as I'd like, but then again, it didn't cost me anything. Great for when you're travelling light or for leaving in the car.

I may go to hell for this, but I read AT every week in my local library, 5 mins walk away. I have never yet found a free gift left on a copy. I think the librarians take them off. BUT today there was that lovely box...so I quietly eased the sellotape off the cover, and had it away...................................

They are ok if you don't have fingers like a bunch of Fyfes.

My mother used to say that I had the hands of an artist.

She also taught me to play the piano in a fashion.

I have one of these boxes or similar and have had it for two seasons, still in use.
The one on my copy of AT was a waste of time the 'locking mechanism' was missing.....cheap and nasty, version of a good little box.

Their is one similar, I'm not sure if it is by Fox or not. The difference is that the centre of the box compartment is raised so that it makes it easier for gettting small items out. A brilliant little gizmo.

I'll bet Ed has delicate fingers as well.
He could be in and out of your pocket in the wink of an eye.

Poor old Ed cops for everything. Hahahaaa.

Poor old Ed.

You are a nasty bunch. He can't help being a scouser.
