Help with rod &reel

Hi all, first time on the forums.
I need some advice on rod & reel choice,
Iv'e been out of fishing for a few years and want to start carp waggler fishing i love this method of fishing.
I intend to go to a commercial lake that holds low doubles, so any suggestions on rod & reel choice would be great, I intend to spend in the region of ?150. there is so much choice these days its hard to choose right.

HAS ANYONE MODIFIED A SMARTCAST RF 15 AND FITTED IT TO A VIPER BAIT BOAT AS I AM THINKING OF HAVING A GO AT IT MYSELF, ANY INFO WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

i use a maver power nembo and a milo reel on the comercials and not caused me a prob, costed me just over 100 notes, depends wot your after,

Macgreedy, it may be worth you asking this question on either the coarse or the match forums, as you may get a better response from there.

have a search through the forums for 'smartcast' amd you'll see loads of info on it, along with an article or two from Cakey, who seems to have done every smartcast mofication possible.
