i have literally just started fishing andknow nothing. I have a 2.4 mtr spinning rod and fancy trying a bit of rock fishing. Is this possible and where can I get all the information I need.

Pluging for Bass or spinning for Makeral will be your best options. Luck for the fast water around headlands or gulleys between inshore islands.
