I was chatting to a mate last night, and we agreed that this sort of group would be invaluable to someone, say, holidaying in the area or someone who regularly fished in the area but had to travel a long way in order to do so!

There are many times I could have done with a contact on the upper severn or the dane!

Good luck fellas!

That's an excellent point Eddie.
To help or advise visiting anglers from other areas. Any such group could even get themselves listed in something like a (Tourist Information Shop) if they so wished.

I'm in Fred, not sure sure if I'm a Specimen Angler or just a sad specimen of an angler, but I'm in North Lincs anyway (about as North as Lincs gets actually)

E-mail on it's way.

excellent Fred and good luck mate, do we have a group revival here. great!!, I`d love to see these groups affiliate to the SAA though, to add context to the new movement, you dont have to be politically orientated to do this, just simply pay a small membership fee, through the SAA you can inform like minded anglers of your activities and successess through the new specialist Anglers magazine

Eddie Cardus my mate, how about the Wirral Specialist Group?

Seriously though Nick I would love to have more contacts around the Cheshire, shrops, Lancs and Staffs regions for when I get out.

The thing is it would often be very much 1 way, as not living in those regions, and consequently not being on those waters that often, it would be me often begging for info off locals/regualars, and not being able to give that much back with the exception of the odd catch report.

just because your called the Willral SG Eddie doesnt mean you have to fish there mate, my own group spent a lot of time in France and everywhere else, not surprising when you consider the waters e have local of course.
