Groundbait for Roach

Hi all.

What are your favourite groundbait mixes mixes for Roach? I am planning my first trip to a lake I have found which I am told hilds a large head of big roach as well as bream and carp. It is the roach and the bream I am mostly interested in,
The lake is quite large and around 6-8 foot deep. i am going to fish with a groundbait feeder but I am unsure what mix to use.

Any suggestions???

Why not try a nice simple mix to start with, like brown crumb, crushed hemp and brasem. It will be sweet and active, so the bream and roach should like it. Them when you add some loose offering, of whatever you're using as hookbait, and casters etc... it should be irrisistable ;-)

Mr Wriggles do a roach special. I can't remember its exact name but after requests produced one in black. I tried it and it was superb, I had a shedload of roach.

I always use a dark feed for roach as like most smaller species they are loathe to feed over light coloured bottoms becase of the risk of predation from above.
