Five months off fishing has done me the world of good, as of Sept I'll be back for another winter's fun and games.

Site looks very busy, lot of new faces as well as some of the old farts, sorry familiar ones.

Can anyone fill me in on what's been happening in a sentence or two..?

Who/what's in; who/what's out at the moment etc..?

Hi chris ,I was wondering what you were up to ,the big "IN " at the moment seems to be barbel fishing the river Trent ,we also have the hang them high mob and the p.c.mob due to the bombs in London ,then we have Baz who is competing with Ron to be king of the windups ,that will do for now .

Hi Chris, nice to have you back.

What are the best bite alarms on the market?

Oh and by the way Chris you HAVE to be in a specimen group these days.

You should consider forming the Fenland Pike and Zander Bashers.

Ron:

Best bite alarm is a float. When it goes under, generally speaking, you've just nailed another one.

I was in a specimen group and it was largely *pants*.

I know people who fish the Fens for both pikes and zander.

They are a bit of a secretive bunch, it has to be said.

Some are even slightly challenged in the *personal hygene* stakes.

Others have odd 1980s hairdos but have slept with pop stars, or so they claim.

Hope this clears things up,

CB

Carp are still rats but we can't say it anymore.

Baz is tying to be a bigger stirrer than Ron

Ron has become a tackle tart

Graham is still tight

Hairs are still crap for chub

Ed is still wearing a dress at weekends

Much the same really...
