I appeal to all readers here to join The Angling Trust. How many millons of anglers in this country? There are, currently, just 13,000 AT members. At last Saturday's meeting in Littleport around 25 of us turned up! I'm no committee-man but I can recognise commitment and sincerity when I see it, and Mark Lloyd and Terry (surname escapes me) are doing their level best to protect the interests of anglers against our adversaries. It can't be easy, eh? So, if, like me, angling politics is a turn-off, at least lend your support by JOINING the Angling Trust. If you actually revel in committee work, please get involved. If you're mid-way, join and support their work, please. If not us - WHO?

I'm in but I'm still not convinced it's working. They don't seem to have a clear policy towards specialist groups/anglers. However, overall it's a step forward.

Not so sure about that Donman. That's why the internet is so useful. Even anglers who don't buy weeklies or monthlies can get informed for free.

Until I joined FM in Oct I'd never heard of the Angling Trust. What does it actually do?
