Just read the reviews on Daiwa Sensor which I use and alot of people are talking about it's memory!

I haven't got a clue! Can someone be kind enough to enlighten me as to what memory is.

Also what do people find are the best methods for putting line on a spool?

Whenever I put new line on it I always end up with birds nests and line slipping off the spool for ages!

line memory means that the line has a tendency to keep it's shape, especially if it is stored for a while. so a monofilament fishing line stored on a spool for a fairly long period of time will keep its coiled shape and is likely to come off the fishing reel "coiled" and in loops, making casting difficult and creating tangles.

If you can give your line the biggest heave up the lake you can before each session and most of the coils will drop out.
