Probably only a few of you knew Mike.
Mike was a tackle dealer in North London who I bumped into in a pub 25 years ago shortly after I moved here, the conversation moved around to fishing and you can guess the rest...
I was quite gutted to learn the other day that Mike had died a couple of weeks ago from throat cancer.
Mike was more than a tackle dealer, he was a mate and I'll miss him greatly not only in the shop (which is now run by his son Julian) but also in odd kind of places such as the swimming pool and the local Weatherspoons.
