i have gust fished a water in market dradon, the water had a great colour and big fish but not for me,
the bottom of the lake had 6-8 inches of leaves and silt on the bottom i tryed pop ups/large pva bags large balls of paste but still no luck.
is there any think i have not you think mite work.
also i'm going to newhay on the 9/9 has any one fished it lately?
hope some one can help.

find somewhere the fish are feeding as some silt is rancid and fish wont feed there

Keep your eyes out for hatching insects. They will usually come from a silt patch of the type fish visit.

why not give the float a go, of try surface fishing?

i have two suggestions. One you could try a snowmans rig. It's basically a hair rig but with a boilie next to the hook and then a pop-up next to it. Use brightly coloured and strong smelling boilies, like yellow squid.
Or go to ebay and type in the the must have carp bait this year, trust me it works!

tanks for the info i have ordered that bait and will try it this weekend.
has any one fished newhay lately i am going on friday.
