Having read a paper or two on the subject, you may be surprised to know that the salmon X trout hybrids have been around in the wild for years. This is one of the reasons that seatrout must be included in DNA testing for records.

What about perch x dace - pace
Gudgeon x zander = gander, voracious and hunts in packs?

eel x bleak = bleel, surface feeding scavenger?

What about the position indicating Lard Carp which has genes from carp anglers themselves, giving the species enormous lethargy and girth plus a touch of pig genes thrown in.

Not only that, you could add Parrot genes so that this fish would say its own name when you land it.

Carp x Bream - Cream, found only in The Tees.

Chub x Carp - Hubcap, found in Eddies garden.

Barbel x Crucians - Barbecru, found in riverside beer gardens on summer evenings.

Bream x Roach - Broach, widely distributed throughout the UK, but larger specimens can be pinned down to a small area in cardigan.

They should be working on combining sea and freshwater species. Barbel and pollack for instance. Then you could go out and catch a load of Bollocks.

Bream x Greyling = Bling (popular with the Chav element)a delicately striped dustbin lid shaped fish with a large tartan banner for a dorsal fin, which is a bugger to land in a strong current.

Greyling x Trout = Grout - gives a whole new excuse when I can tell the missus I'm just popping off to do a couple of hours Grouting.

Char + Grayling (aka the Lady of the Stream) = Charlady.

Common Carp + Chavender (Chub) = Common Chav

How about a triploid cross

BULLhead x SHIbunkin x TRout = BULSHITR

plenty of them about.........
