I'm new to fly/game fishing, and I want a reel that would be suitable for fishing still waters. I have a decent rod, 7#, and all the other tackle(including an old reel) but I would like to get a modern style one. I am willing to pay around ?75 for one(less if possible), so could you guys PLEASE point me in the right direction.

Ian, For about ?45 you can get a Greys GRX Large Arbour reel from Carrilon in Bawtry.

I comes with 3 cassette spare spools amd it is marvellous value.

Another good one is the Scierra IC3 reel for ?49.99 from John Norris. This comes with 4 spools.

You can use the rest of your money to buy another line.
