bait

Hi can anyone tell me if sunflower seeds would be any use as a bait I have about 2 kilos from what was growing in the garden if so the best way to use them, cheers

hello there,i`m sure i remember an episode of go fishing where john wilson was using sunflower seeds on the surface to catch carp???
i`d of thought that some sort of pre-soaking and boiling might be needed in order to use them???
your best bet would be to ask on the carp forum.
