Because the rod breaks down into two equal sections of 6ft 1.5inch (1.84m) with a separate 1ft (30cm) lower handle you get a 13ft rod which is as easy to transport as a 12ft rod. This new rod and sleeve arrangement is a simple but revolutionary design which is wonderfully convenient and avoids all the problems and tangles associated with three piece made up rods. As the design also reduces the number of ferrules in front of the hand, the balance and action of the carbon blankis noticeably improved.
