The bit that interests me most is the spooking caused by flash and sparkle.
I remember John Bailey writing on his observations whilst diving, how even at depth shiny line and hooks would flash unnaturally.
I fish a lot on the surface and quickly realised that using matt hooks and lines solved most of these problems.
The way I fish, the line and hook couldn't be more obvious but the fish dont seem to care overmuch.
You cant be 100% certain of anything in fishing , but I think you'll find disguise may not be as necessary as you think.
