I'm mainly fishing sea-trout (1.5 to 3 kg) in a medium river La Touques (France) and occasionally salmon.
I would like to buy a "small" and "light" two handed fly rod.
I would like to buy one of following rods:
Scierra HM2 11'8" #8 ( 195g )
Scierra HM2 12'9" #9 (265g)
Scierra Ti+ 12'9" #9 (265g)
Greys GRX 13' #8/9 (8.75oz)
Do you have any advise?
Is it possible to operate those rods as one hand rod?

Christian, I fly fish although I've no experience of sea trout or salmon.

My hunch is that the rods are too long to be used single handed for anything other than short periods.

You can occasionally buy fly rods with a short detachable butt which enables them to be fished single or double handed.

Which departement is La Tougues situated in ? Is that where you live ?

Keith,
Do you know if the Scierra HM2 11'8" #8 ( 195g ) can be used in some occasions with a #9 fly line?

Do you have any rod in mind that could be operated single or double handed?

La Touques is the Calvados departement and I live about 60 km from this river.

Christian, you live in a beautiful area of France.

I don't know enough about your type of fly fishing to advise you further, except that you should post your message on this highly popular fly site -

flyforums.proboards53.com/

The flyforums site is dedicated to fly fishing, whereas this site is principally aimed at coarse angling.

Bonne chance !
You should get lots of advice who are far more experienced than me
