Don't know whether I'd pay ?40 for a lamp, but LED techonology is here to stay.
I use a 3 and 7 LED hand torch to walk the dog and with freshly recharged batteries it lights up most of the woodlands on the 7 setting. My fishing head torch has a 2 and 3 LED setting and is quite adequate even for packing up at night.
It's time more lamps were developed like this. I just had the bathroom done with halogen downlighter lamps, 6 times 50 watts each. Yet last saturday I saw some new flourescent versions supposed to be as bright at just 7 watts each. We have to come to terms with our energy wastage in this country whether it's battery or mains powered.
