Is the a universal dropper knot, that will suit both mono & flurocarbon??

I'm VERY forgetfull, and I keep mixing my knots up, and end up with the dropper weakening the line. So I thought if there was one knot to suit both lines, even I couldn't make a mess of things ;-)

The three turn Water Knot Ian, Sometimes called the Surgeons or Cove knot.

Look it up on Google.

There are two schools of thought as to where the dropper should come from. Arthur Cove prefered it from the top. I prefer it from the bottom.

Ian, the Water Knot is good, although I find the double grinner as it's easier to tie and is reliable.

Hi Ian,
I use a three turn water knot for fluoro and a four turn one for mono.
Make sure you wet the knot and pull all four ends tight!
Neil.
