Stocking information

Could anybody tell me where i may find stocking information on a local disused quarry that now has fish in it?
The water has never (to my knowledge) been fished by any club or private syndicate, however there are large carp, roach and chub in there.
I'm still trying to find out who owns it.

Start with the local EA fisheries office and ask them, perhaps?

Wear a suit and a tie (not the scruffy olive drab uniform all we anglers - including me - seem to wear) and knock on the doors of a few house/farms close to the quarry, and ask politely who owns it.

If all else fails try the nearest pub.

To find out the owner try the local council Land registry dept. You might have to pay for this info though. In Manchester it costs ?25 per search.
