lure fishing

This coming summer i want to have a bash at lure fishing from the shore for species such as pollack. Can anybody give advice RE venues (In the north west) what sort of tackle and lures i should take.

Hi Danny,

I am originally from North Wales and used to fish on the isle of Angelsey. We used to catch pollack and occasional bass with lures at places such as Rhoesnieger, Treardeur and Amlwch.

We used 9-10ft spinning rods casting lures and redgills wieghing upto 50g,
10lb line.

North Wales is not far from Manchester,so why not give it a go.
