does any one know where i can get plans to build a small boat off the net i am thinking of building a small punt like craft for fishing on the norfolk broads out of aliminimum (i know thats not how you spell it but i have not got a spell checker) or how about a site in the uk that sells ali boats ?

Hello Paul, I`ve just had a quick look on the `net` and found a 12`ali punt for sale, brand new but shop soiled at ?650. Further details at

Couldn`t find any plans though, at least not for ali.

There were plans for a very sturdy plywood punt published many years ago in the Angler's Mail Annual. It was about 1975 or 76. Somebody else may remember this better than I do. I'm sorry I don't have the book ready to hand or I would be more specific.

Try the american sites...they have flat bottomed "flats" boats that look like a punt.
