Up until now I have been using ESP Ghost and Berkley Vanish for my fluoro/ combi rigs for barbel/ chub.

To be honest I'm not entirely happy with either.

ESP is like a slinky and very thick, and Vanish seems to suffer from random patches of dodginess (eg breaks at random along hooklength rather than at knot

A friend has recommended Riverge a game fishing fluoro.

Has anyone used this? I've heard it's comparatively thin and like Andrex soft and strong?

Thanks Jason/ Ed,

Important choices to make prior to fish-in.

How do the higher breaking strains (10/12lb) perform? I'd like options for an Avon and a carp rod...

One of the very best.

Keep well clear of flouro with a picture of a carp on the spool. Get your fluoro from game angling specialists.

They cannot afford to sell crap because fly leaders go through fat greater hammer than when they are used for coarse fishing.
