River ribble

heard a few good reports from this river and fancy having a go for some barbel / chub. However never fished this river so was wondering if anybody could give me advice on stretches methods ?. Also what would be good would be to be able to find out what are day ticket stretches, what are club stretches and what are free stretches and help appricated.

Day tickets are available for the Ribchester stretch from the SPAR in the Village; see the RADAC web site (www.radac.org.uk). There is also a day ticket stretch upstream of Ribchester Bridge, Jim Dewhurst's, cross over the bridge going north and follow the road going up stream to the farm.

14 mm halibut pellet is the commonest bait for barbel with the best fishing being at night.

There is a day ticket stretch near the Tickled Trout at Junction 31 of the M6; day tickets from the petrol station.
