I am seriously worried about the news that angling is not included in the bill on Angling Welfare. Is this the start of a secret government ploy to exclude anglers from welfare rights? :0)
John, if fishing was included in the Bill then it would have given a wide-open door to organisations like PETA (sorry for swearing)to launch prosecutions against Anglers based upon the dubious premise that we were intentionally harming fish. It would almost certainly have meant an end to livebaiting, which although I don't personally practice, believe is a justified means to an end.
