Can't find a canal or pond without ice. Looked at the river arrow in Redditch today, running very fast, very coloured, would welcome any ideas on whether it's fishable. I have limited tackle, light and mobile, would a small feeder, bomb, hold in the water? looks to fast for me to trot.

Try cheesepaste, bread, lobworms and maybe smelly meat. Keep dropping the bait in every likely looking swim and stay on the move.

You'll catch nowt sat in the 'ouse!

Walk the length of it and see if there are any slacks with eddies. These are easier to fish and may well have fish sheltering in them out of the main force of the current.

Plenty of bites on the Weaver today. 18 inches up and coloured but we both caught.

Yeah, next to the glasshouse workshop where Eva Brick was in quality control.
