I have never fished a match in my life. One of the reasons is that I hate to admit it but I dont really understand the rules. Is there a standard set of rules or does it depend on where you are fishing. I try and read match results but admit I am baffled by some of the terms used. Dont mean to sound a dope. Can anyone help.

Match rules change from club to club, or from water to water.
There is nothing difficult about them Trevor if you are thinking of haveing a go, and don't be afraid to ask.
Try and choose a small friendly to go in first, if that is your intention. No point in becomeing pools fodder mate is there?

Pools Fodder = paying large amounts of money and standing no chance of winning.

A fiver doesent really matter though does it?
