How do guys,

Used some hoppers at the weekend and was just wondering - are these classed as a dry fly or an emerger?

They are usually sold as dry flies and fish as emergers (with the body in the film). I tend to think of emergers as half in and half out of the water - like shuttlecock CDCs.

Bristol Hoppers???

First brought to fame by John Moore at Grafham Water!!

Bristol Fly fishers have taken them to there hearts, whereas the Grafham Boys moved on to Bob' Bits and Dry buzzers. CDC as well.
