shimano 8000 gteb

I now have 3 of these fantastic reels
they not only look good they are good
seem to work even better with shimano cattana line on them no problem.

Am I the only person in the world to be constantly irritated by Shimano Baitrunners? I have 3 8000 GTEs - the black ones, not the new ones. It bugs the hell out of me that a 2oz lead or a simple tug is enough to make the reel backwind furiously. It often backwinds so fast that I get tangles round the reel. I have to turn it off to bait up or mess with the rig but I have lost good fish on more than one occasion by forgetting to turn it back on again after casting!
