How much of this keep net, isn't in the water?? I'd say about 90%!

The rest of it is over hard mud banks!

The guy is a serb so after spending a few hours in inches of water the fish probably end up in a pot.

He is also a reporter for a fishing newspaper!

Is there actually any thing in the net if so is it of any size? He may be fishing for live bait etc. How many rings are there in the water?

Does not matter. Even if keeping for live bait. They should be able to release unused bait at the end of the session.

He might be catching fish to use as Dead bait or to take away to use as live bait.

He may have several more rings of the keep-net in the water than you think and causing no harm to the fish what so ever.

They may only be very small fish of just a couple of ounces or less.

He may be keeping some fish fresh for the table before knocking them on the head.

He may be keeping his beer cold in the net....lol

There are many possibility's of what could be going on here and I think people should not be so quick to judge or condemn what other people are doing with out knowing the facts.

Neither should anglers such as yourself be so ready to defend pictures like this.
You know the score Jos, why try to make excuses for this bloke?

no one can say that he is doing anything wrong what so ever! you dont even know how much net is in the water!

But if you guys feel that slaging the bloke off publicly is fair then go right ahead and continue to do so.

fair comment Jos, their could be 6 foot of net in the water.

The fish still have to roll down 8 foot of net to get to it though, and a small fish probably wouldnt get that far.

Think of the bumpy ride down the bank before the water, ouch!

I unhook my livebaits in the bucket if I can and having selected the best, any that are too small <or too big!> get put back when I have enough.

And Jos says, no one can say he is doing anything wrong what so ever.

Sorry Jos, I've got eyes like a shithouse rat,
you walked right into that one.

As I said you can all presume as much or as little as you want and continue to slate the guy for doing something that you want to think he is doing not for what he is actually doing. If your happy to do that then continue to do so.
