Wife has decided that we are going to spend some of Easter in a cottage near Bakewell. Because she wouldn't take the cottage that advertised private fishing (!!!!) I need to find some stillwater fishing in the area; can anyone help?

Don't know of any stillwaters Mathew, ask in the visitor centre they should help you out.
But they did have an interesting musty old book shop.

oohh thats where i went to school,
i've had a look through my data files and in that area there's a few places of unknown quantity and some of this info maybe out of date and some's from my dark and distant past like the triangle pond at youlgreave village not sure if its day ticketed you would have to ask in the village or in bakewell tackle shop (in a courtyard near the pudding shop)

I was landscaping down at Bakewell last year, asked a local lad who was drystone walling about pond's etc:, but he did'nt know of any in the immediate area, if the worst comes to the worst just enjoy the week-end walking and taking in the scenery, its a fantastic area.

Chavender,

We're staying in Youlgreave so that sounds promising (I'll let you know if the pond is still available).

Thanks everyone for your help; bound to be able to get a day out with that much advice.

like i said in my post theres some info may be out of date, but i included it so any
enquires made could be based on them and it
may lead to new info on current situation's

(sounds like a good theory but i'am just to lazy to update a few old data files yet)
