Baiting the Thames.

Can you believe this, I've just spent the last four nights baiting up a tasty swim on the Thames between Laleham and Staines for Carp, Barbel or Chub. I did this under cover of darkness, obviously intending to have a go at the weekend, so that none of the 'good anglers' out there could swim jump on me as baiting up during daylight hours is an open invitation to these parasites.
I've just got back home fuming as one of these scum is bivvied up in the exact swim I 've spent time and money on preparing. The smug expression on his face when he saw me said it all.....GOOD ANGLING MATE!

It does happen a lot but sometimes it would be nice if it did not. I hope the only thing the swim jumping prat catches is a severe cold and crabs.

Mitten crabs presumably?

Spend another 4 nights baiting up with a mixture of lemon peel and small onions!!!!! then fish 400 yards up stream.
