Rooting about in the garage I found 100m of 18lb lead core trolling line.
I've noticed most lead core used for leaders in carp fishing is of a much greater breaking strain.
Any reason this might be unsuitable?

well the light ones are a right pain to make up you leaders because of the diameter.

just make sure the hooklengths weaker than the leadcore.

you'll probably find most is a greater b/s as its heavier, though fox did a 15lb(?) for hooklengths.

Must check before i submit it was supposed to say that will be fine for scaring and damaging all the carp in your county and if you have any on it it would be nothing short of miraculus.

By the way it is highly illegal to just throw away and if you leave it in your garage you will get lead poisoning i can dispose of it properly for you and as its you i wont even charge!

You will have to deliver it here though dropping half off at Bennys on the way.
