A 54 peg, 3 acre club water which used to be an sandpit containing about 12-15 (mainly) common carp to 25lb maybe more. Stays over 24 hours are prohibited by club rules. How would you approach such a water?

Gill net!

Seriously, I would wait til the summer, try and find a peg next to some features, then use maize/corn on 1 rod and a boilie/pellet on another.

Rik,
The lake is primarily a match lake with either one and two matches a week. Also get quite a few pleasure anglers most days of the week (the joys of retirement!)
The bottom shelves away very suddenly to about 15ft depth, however there are shallows of about 8ft at either end of the lake.
There are no islands, however there is a submerged roadway which runs into the middle of the water.
As for other species take your pick! More crucians, tench, bream and roach /bream hybrids were stocked in last summer to complement the existing mixed coarse stock. Basically all your nuisance species. No moggies though.

I'd fish after matches or evenings only, stalking the margin swims that have been baited all day.
Two lobs direct on a size 2 or big lumps of paste.
