Is it finished?
There seems to be a lot of empty space down the left hand side.

My empty space seems to be,below that old boy wearing the cap and shirt down to the reel!

Call me an old reactionary if you like, but I far prefered the old front page design.

To me it told you all you needed to know and gave newcomers and oldies alike a good representative cross section of what the site held.

The listing of recent articles I thought was excellent, and it tempted one to search for further articles.

Just my POV, others no doubt will vary.

I think it looks too busy with too much information to take in all at once.

bloody hell! the Kettle has just exploded in the office!

Thanks for your view lads. Give it time though. I remember when the hompage was changed before, didnt go down so well with some people, but it soon became good as time went by.

It's very hard to please all tastes.

Some prefer the busy look with lots of information and links on the home page, others prefer the 'open' look, even though this means searching for the stuff that has dropped off the home page.

This new attempt is to compromise more between the two, trying to make the home page more attractive whilst still offering a good insight into what the site has to offer.

Please keep the comments coming - we're listening and considering.

I've also got large gaps below Graham modeling the cap and t-shirt, also large empty gaps below Blunderers quotes and below the Emcast reel, and the ads on the right have partly disappeared, apart from that, I think it's a bit manic for a home page!
But what a spectacular collection of info!

I just had an e-mail from Nigel who says he cannot log in and can't post for some reason.

If you open the new home page in a minimised window you do indeed get a large white empty space between Graham's picture and the picture of the reel.
This is not a problem is the page opens in a maximised window.

This new design looks a little too 'commercial' for my liking whereas the old homepage had a more friendly - come on in and have a look at the articles - appearance.

Yep still a lot of empty space.
From (Fishing magic cap and teeshirt) to (Latest Tackle)

Then from -:
(What would you fish for tomorrow) to (Categories).

There is more blank space than used space.
And it looks cold and empty.

I think it needs the big picture on the front. it helps the site stand out from all the others with small pics and loads of text.

No idea of what articles within after last three/four days.

No idea where to look for useful info if a beginner

Overwhelmed by tackle reviews.

Underwhelmed by the rest.

No improvement at any level. We got the previous one after some experimentation. I'd score the last one 90%; this one 20%.
