UK Fishing Holiday

I'm hopping some of you can help me out here. I have been looking at going away for a week or teo over the summer but can't really afford France this year so I'm looking at going some where over here.

I have been looking on line but can't find any sites that give good information on the fishing. What I'm looking for is a cabin or caravan sitated (ideally next to a lake) or quite close wouldn't be bad. Would be nice if it was quite quiet as in not loads of anglers, good fishing with the possibility of some good size fish.

I don't mind where it is in the UK as long as it's not to far north. Am I asking too much?

If any of you can advise from previous experience or now of anywhere that might sound like any of the above please leave details.

Think there is one on the isle of wight dont know much about it a mate said he saw it when he was there on a family holiday i think its called Rooklly park. It has caravans at the lakeside i beleive.
