IMO it's not ATr vs RSPB or head to head at all.

A short but sensible well constructed debate from both. Both agree control measures are needed (and are in place). The RSPB very rarely comment on any bird control measures - the Ruddy Duck issue being one of the rare recent issues.

The angling world needs to get more scientific facts together to fight its case.

Well done to both and the BBC! It's a start and can only help to add weight to the issue.
